It fitted the bill perfectly and we took the outside cottage as we would be coming home to bed quite late.

The room was well equipped and the landlord was accommodating by placing a bed in the lounge for my daughter at no extra charge.

It is very convenient to Stellenbosch and the wine farms and is way from the traffic and noise situated on a strawberry and wine farm.

The breakfast was very good and home prepared with whatever we wanted.

We will definitely go back for short stays in the area.

  Our family stayed at Klein Akkerdraai during December 2014 for 4 nights. We occupied the three guest bedrooms, as well as the flat. There was a three-year old, as well... read more as two teenagers. We all enjoyed our stay, and absolutely loved it!

The lodge is surrounded by wine estates, there is lots of oak trees and a beautiful garden. It is ideally situated to use as base for day-trips. The boys could play cricket outside when we returned late afternoon, while the fires were lit. We enjoyed the evenings, and barbequed every evening.

The rooms are spacious and well maintained. A delicious breakfast is prepared every morning, starting with fresh fruit salad. Eggs were made to everyones preferance.

The staff members are wonderful, and look after every request. They make sure guests have a relaxing stay.

When you page through their guestbook, the comments all boil down to "Thanks for a wonderful stay. We enjoyed it and will be back".

We loved our stay and will definitely stay at Klein Akkerdraai again. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

It is in a very peaceful location but there are two vineyards within 5 minutes walk ( or should I say staggering?) distance and Klein Akkerdraai is perfectly located for vineyard hopping. There are also some great restaurants nearby - less than 5 minutes drive where the meals are also excellently priced and the quality is outstanding. I am surprised about the review from the family from... read more Georgia - I always have more than sufficient blankets, switch on the heater when it is cold and hardly see the hosts - except on check in, breakfast time and check out.
Strongly recommended - it is not a four star hotel and it does not pretend to be - it is a bed & breakfast lodge and the view and ambience is l9vely.

The breakfast is ok, not great but the house has an excellent braai area under the stars where you can have friends over and enjoy some wine.
The rooms are spacious but lacks air con and ceiling fans.
Parking is open and there is no carport. Overall good value for money, will stay there again.
